2NE1 member Park Bom is back online, catching fans’ attention with her latest update.
The singer recently shared three selfies on her social media account, captioned with “Park Bom♥ #bomparkelizabeth.” The singer introduced herself once again as “Elizabeth Bom Park,” piquing curiosity among fans. The name echoes her statement from March, when she wrote, “I’ve truly become Elizabeth Park Bom,” suggesting a continuing personal expression of identity.
The post marks her first since her agency announced she was taking time off for treatment and rest due to emotional instability—making her return after just about two weeks a hopeful sign of recovery for fans.
Last month, Park stirred controversy after publicly accusing YG Entertainment executive producer Yang Hyun Suk of withholding payments and making comments about her appearance. She claimed he had “made me look like ****” and “used me to sell a story about plastic surgery,” further alleging that despite producing several tracks, she had been excluded from profit settlements and songwriting credits. The long-running tension between Park and YG resurfaced in the aftermath.
Her current label, D-Nation Entertainment, responded that all settlements from her 2NE1 activities had already been completed and denied any reports of legal filings. They then added that Park had been in a highly unstable emotional state and urgently needed treatment, requesting the media and public to refrain from spreading her posts further to avoid misunderstandings and secondary harm.
Given that, Park’s decision to return to social media so soon has sparked a range of interpretations among fans—some seeing it as a reassuring sign, others expressing continued concern for her well-being.
