Haerin of NewJeans made a rare public appearance this week, catching fans’ eyes with her more mature vibe.
On September 9th, photos shared online showed the 20-year-old idol at a dental clinic, where she signed her own album for staff—her bare-faced visuals as striking as ever.
This comes shortly after fellow member Danielle gave fans a glimpse into her own personal life. Through Sean’s Instagram, Danielle revealed her newfound love for running, even completing a 10K race in her hometown of Sydney, Australia. With other members keeping largely out of the public eye, Haerin’s sighting added an extra dose of excitement for supporters missing the group.
Meanwhile, NewJeans has been on an enforced hiatus. Last November, the five members moved to terminate their contracts, citing a breakdown in trust with their agency, ADOR. In response, ADOR filed an injunction with the court, demanding confirmation of the validity of the exclusive contracts and requesting restrictions on the members signing outside deals or advertising contracts.
The court granted ADOR’s injunction, leaving the group unable to pursue independent activities. On August 14th, Minji and Danielle were spotted at the Seoul Central District Court for a mediation session regarding the contract dispute. The case is set to continue with another hearing on September 11th at 1:30 PM KST.
