Netflix has officially set a release date for You and Everything Else.

The emotional drama, starring Kim Go Eun and Park Ji Hyun, will premiere exclusively on September 12th. Netflix dropped a compelling new teaser poster and trailer alongside the announcement.

The series explores the complicated friendship between Eunjung (Kim Go Eun) and Sangyeon (Park Ji Hyun). Best friends since they were kids, their bond is a tangled web of love and admiration mixed with intense jealousy and hatred. The story follows their journey from their teenage years into their forties, tracing all the shared moments that have defined their lives, including two major breakups that ultimately cause them to drift apart.

The new teaser poster perfectly captures the show’s tension with the tagline, “Caught between admiration and resentment.” The trailer dives even deeper, opening with a heated argument between the two friends before flashing back to their shared history. It masterfully reveals the insecurities that poison their relationship. “Being around Sangyeon makes everything about me feel so ordinary,” Eunjung confesses in a voiceover. In turn, Sangyeon admits, “That’s when I sensed that I could never beat her.”

Their struggle is summed up in one of Eunjung’s lines: “I wish I could truly understand how Sangyeon feels,” highlighting how two people who were once inseparable could end up as strangers.

Director Jo Young Min says the show is about being there for someone in life. “As you watch Eunjung and Sangyeon’s stories, you might remember your past, think of a friend, or relate it to your own life,” he said. “I believe viewers may learn to understand others, forgive someone, or even discover more about themselves.”

You and Everything Else will be available to stream exclusively on Netflix beginning Friday, September 12th.
