TWICE’s Sana is setting the record straight four months after dating rumors linked her to BIGBANG’s G-Dragon.
In the latest episode of her YouTube show “Sana’s Fridge Interview,” which wrapped its second season, the K-pop star shared behind-the-scenes memories of filming with G-Dragon and Dex. “That day was such a core memory,” she recalled.
Then, with a laugh, Sana hinted, “I don’t know if I should say this…” before recounting the dating rumor frenzy. “(G-Dragon) posted my account on his Instagram story. The members knew he’d been on Fridge Interview, but since it was only a few days after filming, I couldn’t say anything publicly yet. I wanted to say it so badly, but I had to wait a whole month.”
The rumors first surfaced in April when G-Dragon attended Coldplay’s concert in Korea—where TWICE performed—and later posted a photo of Sana on his Instagram with her account tagged, even liking one of her posts. Fans quickly speculated the two were dating, but it turned out to be a playful nod that happened right after the April 14th filming of the YouTube show Dex and Sana’s Fridge Interview.
At the time, G-Dragon’s agency, Galaxy Corporation, explained, “Tagging Sana’s account was simply a friendly gesture.” Sana added that she didn’t immediately clarify because revealing their joint appearance would have spoiled the program.
Meanwhile, TWICE is in the middle of their sixth world tour READY TO BE. On August 2nd, the group made history as the first K-pop girl group to headline the Lollapalooza Chicago festival, drawing global attention.
