It’s been months since Barbie Hsu passed away, but her husband DJ Koo hasn’t missed a single day by her side. His quiet devotion is becoming heartbreakingly clear as more eyewitness accounts continue to surface.
The outpouring of stories began gaining attention on July 27th when a netizen, who identified himself as a tour bus driver in Taiwan, shared photos and a personal account of seeing the grieving husband. He admitted that his skepticism was completely shattered after witnessing Koo’s visit.
“To be honest, I was never really a fan of Barbie Hsu, and I didn’t believe in ‘true love’ or ‘the one,’” the driver wrote. “I thought it was unrealistic for someone to visit a grave every single day. But seeing Koo today made me realize I was wrong. The emotion coming from him was so raw, so intense. Even my passengers were whispering things like, ‘This is so sad,’ and ‘My heart aches for him.’”
He urged others to show respect if they ever see Koo. “We quietly placed our flowers and left without saying a word, so we wouldn’t disturb him,” he continued. “If you visit, please don’t bother him. Just watch quietly. Let him have that moment to be with the person he loves. I truly hope he finds the strength to keep going after this loss.”
Since the bus driver’s post, more people have come forward to confirm the story.
“My daughter works at that cemetery, and she told me that Koo really does come every single day without fail to be with Barbie Hsu,” one commenter wrote.
Another shared a touching detail: “My father’s grave is right next to hers. And I’m not exaggerating, I see him there every time I visit my dad. Even when it’s pouring rain.”
A third person posted a photo of Koo keeping vigil at the grave with a friend. “I was there and saw him sitting for a really long time,” they said. “When he finally stood up to leave, he hugged the gravestone and kissed it goodbye. As soon as I saw that, the tears just started falling.”
Barbie Hsu and DJ Koo’s love story had captured hearts around the world. They briefly dated in the late ’90s but broke up and lost touch for over 20 years. Koo reconnected with her in 2021 by calling her old phone number, and they married the following year.
Tragically, their time together was cut short in February when Hsu passed away suddenly from complications of pneumonia while on a family trip to Japan.
