Ahn Bo Hyun and Lee Joo Been are set to share the screen for the first time in Spring Fever (literal title), an upcoming romantic comedy from tvN.
Based on a popular web novel of the same name, Spring Fever follows mysterious high school teacher Yoon Bom, who retreats to a small countryside town with her heart closed off—where she meets Seon Jae Gyu, an unpredictable man who charges straight into her life, full speed and with no brakes.
Helming the series is Marry My Husband director Park Won Gook, with The Secret Life of My Secretary writer Kim Ah Jung penning the script.
Ahn Bo Hyun takes on the role of Jae Gyu, a troublemaker who always shakes up the town with his eccentric behavior. Though his rugged looks and towering frame give off bad-boy energy, Jae Gyu is a one-woman romantic with a fierce, unwavering heart. Known for his versatility in Yumi’s Cells and Flex X Cop, Ahn will balance action, comedy, and romance in this role—and for the first time, he’ll bring out his real-life Gyeongsang-do dialect onscreen.
Lee Joo Been will play Yoon Bom, a former star teacher from Seoul who suddenly chooses to isolate herself at a quiet rural school. As curious locals begin to speculate about her backstory, Yoon Bom slowly rediscovers her bright, lovable self. With standout performances in Queen of Tears and other projects, Lee is expected to bring warmth and depth to the character’s transformation.
The chemistry between Ahn’s brash, straight-shooting Jae Gyu and Lee’s emotionally guarded Yoon Bom is expected to bring plenty of tension, laughs, and heart-fluttering moments.

Spring Fever is slated to premiere in the second half of 2025 on tvN.
