Son Ye Jin is turning heads once again, this time with a surprise peek into the set of her latest film, No Other Choice, directed by Park Chan Wook.
On the 21st, the actress posted four behind-the-scenes shots to her Instagram along with a string of playful hashtags, including: “#NoOtherChoice #Can’tHelpButBeExcited #ParkChanWookIsHandsome #LeeByungHunIsTheBest #SonYeJinAppears.”
Despite being her first movie set appearance in a while, Son Ye Jin’s timeless visuals and laser-sharp focus drew attention. The photos show her intently monitoring a take behind the camera, smiling with fellow cast and crew, and radiating charm in a simple shirt and a sun visor—a look that brought fans nostalgic flashbacks to her 2003 film The Classic.

One photo, in particular, created buzz: Son Ye Jin sporting a bold short haircut, hinting at a major character transformation in the film.

No Other Choice follows a once-stable office worker whose life is turned upside down after he’s abruptly fired. The film marks the first-ever collaboration between Son Ye Jin and Lee Byung Hun, and is directed by Cannes-favorite Park Chan Wook, making it one of the most anticipated lineups in years. The star-studded cast also includes Park Hee Soon, Lee Sung Min, Yum Hye Ran, Cha Seung Won, and Yoo Yeon Seok—a who’s who of trusted talent in Korean cinema.

The film has also unveiled its illustrated poster and teaser trailer, offering a glimpse into its unique story and characters.
The poster highlights stars Lee Byung Hun, Son Ye Jin, Park Hee Soon, Lee Sung Min, Yeom Hye Ran, and Cha Seung Won, all gathered under a crape myrtle tree. At the center is Man Soo, a man desperate to get re-hired, alongside his spirited wife Mi Ri and a cast of characters with their own intertwining stories.
The teaser opens with the line, “In America, getting fired is called ‘getting the axe.’ Do you know what we say in Korea? We say ‘it’s your neck’,” set to a hard-hitting beat. It teases shifting dynamics between characters and builds intrigue around their hidden motives.
