Jung Il Woo, Jung In Sun, and Yoon Hyun Min are teaming up this August for the new weekend family drama Brilliant Days (literal title).
Brilliant Days explores the idea that everyone has shining days in their life, whether in the past, present, or future. Reuniting after their hit My Golden Life, director Kim Hyung Suk and screenwriter So Hyun Kyung (also known for Seoyoung, My Daughter) are joining forces once again, raising audience expectations.
Jung Il Woo plays Lee Ji Hyuk, a man seemingly perfect in both work and love. Though outwardly polished and even witty, Ji Hyuk has hit rock bottom before, and his story traces a quiet journey to rediscover what truly matters in life.
Jung In Sun steps into the role of Ji Eun Oh, a cheerful and kind-hearted café manager and interior designer. Despite coming from a difficult background, she lives with passion and no regrets. Even after being rejected by her longtime crush Ji Hyuk, she remains by his side.
Yoon Hyun Min takes on the role of Park Sung Jae, the “silver spoon” of the story. But beneath the perfect exterior lies a deep loneliness. His character becomes emotionally entangled with Ji Hyuk’s family, caught in the crosswinds of friendship and love.
“With the three actors Jung Il Woo, Jung In Sun, and Yoon Hyun Min coming together, a truly brilliant lineup has been completed. We hope their delicate emotional performances and sincere stories will give small comfort and empathy to all generations living their own lives,” the production team shared.
The drama is set to premiere in August on KBS as a follow-up of For Eagle Brothers.
