BLACKPINK’s Rosé, who rose to global fame last year with her hit single “APT.,” has been named one of TIME magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of the Year.
Announced on April 16, Rosé was included in the Pioneers category of the 2024 TIME 100 list.
Actress Lily Collins, who penned the tribute, praised Rosé as a“dynamic performer and songwriter,” adding, “Ot’s incredible that she’s able to captivate arenas full of people as both a member of the biggest girl group in the world and also as a solo artist.”

“She’s basically the definition of an icon and a boss,” Collins continued. “Her voice is so strong and her music is so much fun, and I just adore Rosé’s spirit and, really, everything about her. I’m so proud of all the things she’s done in the past year, and I feel so lucky to call her a friend.”
Since 2004, TIME has recognized 100 individuals or groups each year who have made a profound global impact. Previous Korean cultural figures featured on the list include Parasite director Bong Joon Ho (2020), Youn Yuh Jung (2021), and Squid Game creator Hwang Dong Hyuk (2022).
