Netflix’s new Korean thriller Karma didn’t just drop—it detonated.
Released on the 4th, Karma shot straight to No. 1 on Korea’s “Today’s Top 10” for series, instantly earning praise from both viewers and the press for its gripping plot, razor-sharp twists, and unrelenting tension. Many are calling it the next standout in Netflix’s growing library of prestige Korean crime thrillers.
The series, starring Shin Mina, Lee Kwang Soo, and more, follows six characters trapped in a web of toxic ties they can’t escape, each driven by their own stories and desires. As the episodes unfold, unexpected twists stack up, creating an addictive pace that’s left viewers breathless—and bingeing.
“I got emotionally wrecked, manipulated, and yet couldn’t stop watching,” one viewer wrote. Another added, “It’s part thriller, part dark comedy, and somehow gets even better as it goes,” while others praised the show’s unpredictable character dynamics: “Nobody in this show sticks to normalcy.”

The show’s innovative structure has been another highlight. “Each character’s personal story slowly weaves into a larger narrative, which I find fascinating,” one comment read. Another said, “The tension doesn’t let up the entire time, so you’d be basically locked in.”
Ahead of its global launch, Karma held early fan screenings in three major Korean cities on March 29th. The pre-release buzz was electric, with 94.5% of attendees saying they found the series “entertaining.” Reactions ranged from, “I couldn’t stop guessing what would happen next,” to, “The acting was insane, and the twist was mind-blowing. I blinked and six hours had passed.”
You can catch Karma streaming now, only on Netflix.
