Park Bo Gum has been tapped as the new host of KBS’s music show The Seasons, marking the first time an actor will helm the show.
Production staff confirmed to Dispatch on February 14th that “Park Bo Gum will take over as MC of ‘The Seasons’ following Lee Young Ji. He will be hosting the upcoming season.”
The appointment marks a significant shift for the program, which has featured a roster of prominent musicians as hosts, including Jay Park, Jannabi’s Choi Jung Hoon, AKMU, Lee Hyo Ri, Zico, and most recently, Lee Young Ji.
The production team shared their thoughts on the selection, stating, “We carefully consider the MC selection for each new season of ‘The Seasons.’ This is the first time we’ll be working with a top-tier actor as our MC.” They further noted, “Park Bo Gum has expressed tremendous enthusiasm about helping both the musicians and their music shine. We ask for your anticipation and support.”
Park’s inaugural episode as host of The Seasons is scheduled to premiere on March 14th. The specific title for this new season is yet to be announced.
