BLACKPINK’s Park Jung Min and Jisoo admitted they recently spent time together at an amusement park.
The clip featured the charming duo, Jisoo and Park Jung Min, who star as the lead couple in the Coupang Play series Newtopia. Talking about Jisoo, Park Jung Min said, “Jisoo is truly amazing in so many ways.” He added, “Our director loves having lots of script readings. Honestly, sometimes you just want to chill, but Jisoo actually enjoyed them. That’s when I first started admiring her.”
He continued to gush, “Jisoo had a lot of solo scenes fighting zombies, yet she always showed up on set with a big smile. Even though it must’ve been tough, she brought great energy to everyone as the lead. Watching her, I kept thinking, ‘Wow, she’s incredible.’”
Park Jung Min then shared a funny story about their early filming days. “The director wanted us to take pictures together, so we wandered around Gyeongbokgung Palace for the shoot,” he said. Jisoo chimed in, laughing, “But then the director called us and said, ‘Can’t you two just meet and take pictures yourselves? I’m too busy.’”
“So yeah, that’s how we ended up going to Lotte World together,” they said, grinning. Park Jung Min added, “Since people would recognize Jisoo, I suggested we find a quieter spot. But when we finally took the pictures, they didn’t even look like they were taken at Lotte World.” Jisoo laughed, recalling, “Looking at the pictures, you’d wonder what kind of couple hides their faces so much while taking photos!”
When Lee Soo Ji commented, “That sounds like a lot of fun,” both Jisoo and Park Jung Min agreed with a smile. “Looking back, yeah, it’s a great memory,” they said.
Coupang Play series Newtopia is set to premiere on February 7th at 8 PM.
