Gong Yoo reunites with Chae Jung An on her YouTube channel “Chae Jung An TV,” reminiscing about their time filming Coffee Prince. A teaser for the episode, set to release on October 17th, gives fans a glimpse of their highly expected reunion.

During the chat, Gong Yoo playfully imagined what could have happened if their characters, Choi Han Gyul (Gong Yoo) and Han Yoo Joo (Chae Jung An), ended up together. “If Han Gyul and Yoo Joo were together, I think we would have lived happily,” he mused.

Chae Jung An played Gong Yoo’s first love in the mega-hit 2007 drama, and her captivating beauty won her widespread admiration. Gong Yoo fondly reflected on that time, saying, “Yoo Joo and Han Gyul wouldn’t have clashed much in real life. They probably would’ve done well together.” He then added with a laugh, “You were so beautiful back then—it was your prime. People still talk about it.”

The actor didn’t hold back his praise: “It really felt like you were my first love. You were so beautiful, so acting with you was easy.”

The two also shared a few laughs as they re-watched scenes from Coffee Prince. When a scene showed Chae Jung An asking, “Should I sing you a song?” she jokingly remarked, “She’s totally flirting,” evoking a nostalgic smile.

For fans unfamiliar with the series, Coffee Prince tells the story of a young woman pretending to be a man to secure a job at a café and a man pretending to be gay to avoid an arranged marriage. The series became a cultural phenomenon, with a star-studded cast that included Yoon Eun Hye, the late Lee Sun Kyun, Kim Dong Wook, and more.
