As tensions between HYBE and former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin continue, members of NewJeans have opened up about their feelings on the situation.

Minji shared her thoughts on the fan communication platform Phoning on the night of the 2nd. She carefully started, “I wanted to tell all the Bunnies who comforted us that we’re okay, but I just couldn’t this time.”

“I feel frustrated that I can’t solve anything, and I’m sorry that we’re going through these unnecessary struggles when we should be spending our days talking about good things,” she continued. “I don’t know how long these uncertain days will continue, but I hope Bunnies and we won’t have to go through this tough time any longer.”

Danielle also shared her thoughts on the fan platform, admitting, “After our CEO was dismissed, things became really difficult.” She went on, “I was in a bit of a meltdown for a while, and it made me feel very anxious,” adding with concern, “I always want to show Bunnies my bright and happy side.”

Hanni took a different approach by sharing a self-composed song on Phoning on the 2nd. She said, “I can’t offer much comfort with words because I haven’t sorted out my thoughts yet,” and posted a video of herself singing. The lyrics of her song included lines like, “Tonight, let’s have peace of mind. Regrets aren’t for us.”

The idol revealed that she began writing the song around April or May when the conflict between HYBE and Min Hee Jin was becoming more intense. She explained, “During that time, Bunnies, the members, the CEO, and I were all having a rough time. I wanted to comfort everyone and heal all the wounds.” Hani also mentioned, “A few weeks ago, I sent this song to the CEO, hoping it would offer her some comfort, even from afar. I really wanted to share it with Bunnies, too. After much thought, I felt today was the day to do it.”

On August 27th, ADOR removed Min Hee Jin from her position and appointed HYBE’s Chief Human Resources Officer Kim Ju Young as the new CEO. Although ADOR stated that Min Hee Jin would continue her role in producing for NewJeans, Min Hee Jin claimed the terms of the production delegation contract were unfair and has been opposing the decision.
