Kim Jae Joong and NCT’s Jaehyun will be attending the 28th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival. Kim Jae Joong stars in The Shrine, an occult horror film, while Jaehyun is featured in the mystery thriller You Will Die in 6 Hours. Both films will be screened at the festival.
The Shrine is an occult horror film about three college students who vanish after visiting an abandoned shrine in Kobe, Japan. It follows a young shaman named Myungjin (Kim Jae Joong) and his junior (Gong Sung Ha) as they uncover the truth behind the malevolent spirits. This film will be shown in the “Mad Max” section, which highlights new works by established genre directors.
You Will Die in 6 Hours is a mystery thriller where a group of people must change their fates within six hours to avoid their predetermined deaths. The film features a unique cast, including NCT’s Jaehyun, Park Ju Hyun and Kwak Si Yang. It will premiere in the “Korean Fantastic: Feature Film” section.
The festival will kick off with the directors and actors walking the red carpet at the opening ceremony on Thursday, July 4th.
The Shrine will be screened at 5:00 PM on Friday, July 5th at Bucheon City Hall Plaza, at 1:30 PM on Saturday, July 6th at the Korean Cartoon Museum, and at midnight on Friday, July 12th at Bucheon City Hall Plaza. After the 5:00 PM screening on July 5th, there will be a Guest Visit (GV) session with director Kazuyoshi Kumakiri, screenwriter Namiko So, and actors Gong Sung Ha, Go Yoon Jun, Song Woo Joo, and Na Hyun Jin. Another GV session with the director, screenwriter, and actors will follow the 1:30 PM screening on July 6th. Guest Visit session is an event where the director, actors or other crew members of a film come to the theater after a screening to interact with the audience.
You Will Die in 6 Hours will have screenings and GV sessions at 4:30 PM on Saturday, July 6th at the Korean Cartoon Museum and at 7:30 PM on Thursday, July 11th at CGV Sopung 4. On July 6th, the GV session will include director Lee Yoon Seok, original novel writer Takano Kazuaki, and actors Park Ju Hyun, Kwak Si Yang, and Lee Soo Jung. On July 11th, the GV will feature director Lee Yoon Seok and actors Park Ju Hyun and Lee Soo Jung.
