Netflix has locked in Friday, June 6th, as the release date for its series Mercy for None, accompanied by the debut of a teaser poster and trailer.
The highly anticipated series features So Ji Sub‘s return to intense action after a 13-year hiatus, alongside a powerhouse ensemble including Huh Joon Ho, Gong Myoung, Choo Young Woo, Ahn Gil Gang, Cha Seung Won and Lee Jun Hyuk.
Based on the popular Naver webtoon Plaza Wars, the series follows Gi Joon, who had cut his own Achilles tendon and left the criminal underworld known as “The Plaza,” only to return 11 years later seeking revenge after his younger brother Gi Seok—once second-in-command of the organization—is killed. The noir action thriller promises to showcase the cold-blooded, intense world of violence that made the original webtoon a fan favorite.
The striking teaser poster captures Gi Joon (So Ji Sub) standing alone among countless fallen bodies in a narrow alley. The tagline “Rules are broken. He is back” heightens anticipation for the impact his return will have on The Plaza’s underworld.

The accompanying trailer reveals Gi Joon’s relentless pursuit to uncover the dark secrets behind his brother’s sudden death. After facing his brother Gi Seok’s (Lee Jun Hyuk) cold corpse following a mysterious attack, Gi Joon begins his hunt for the killers.
Beginning with brutal scenes of Gi Joon wielding his signature baseball bat to mercilessly clear a path through a narrow alley packed with enemies, the trailer promises unforgiving punishment for anyone standing in the way of his revenge. Things only intensify as Gi Joon advances toward his targets without flinching, even when faced with gunfire, showcasing his cold, bloodthirsty determination. The clip concludes with a blood-soaked Gi Joon declaring, “I need to end this. All of it.”
Set to open a new world of cold-blooded, intense noir action, Mercy for None will be available exclusively on Netflix on June 6th at 4 PM KST.
