The exciting launch of “Top Reels” took place at the Grand Ballroom of the Stanford Hotel in Seoul. This new platform brings the world of Korean BL dramas to bite-sized portions, offering short-form stories around 2 minutes long.
The event buzzed with anticipation as CEO Jung Ho Young of Fox Media unveiled the platform. He highlighted the global trend of short-form content and its strong demand in Korea. Combining this with Korea’s well-established expertise in drama production, Jung emphasized the platform’s potential to captivate audiences worldwide.
A star-studded guestlist added to the excitement. Joining the celebration were actors Kim Yool Ho, Baek Hyo Won, Kim Min Joong, Bae Eun Woo, Jung Ha Kyung, Lee Yeon, Choi Seok Won, Chang Yon U, Park Hyung Seop, Lee Sang Min, Kwak Hee Ju, Lee Young Ju, Ji Jong Ho, Han Seo Young, Choi Yong Joon, Lee Hyun Dong, Lee Min Wook and So Jun Hyung.
Among the attending actors was Park Hyung Seop, who takes on the role of Do Yoon in the upcoming BL drama Please Teach Me. This series marks a new venture for Park, sparking curiosity about his experience.
Addressing the question of pressure surrounding the BL genre, Park confidently shared, “There wasn’t any pressure for me. Our drama has its own unique charm. We all have this fresh energy as newcomers, learning and growing together. Plus, don’t you think the visuals look amazing?”
The first episode of Please Teach Me premieres on March 12th.
