The much-anticipated return of Ju Ji Hoon to romantic acting is on the horizon, with reports indicating his consideration for the lead role in the new tvN drama Love on a Log Bridge (literal title).
Love on a Log Bridge is a reunion romance that unfolds when two former lovers, separated by family feuds and cruel twists of fate 15 years earlier, meet again. The drama, penned by Lim Ye Jin, known for Love in the Moonlight and The Tale of Nokdu, and directed by Park Joon Hwa, who helmed What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim and the Alchemy of Souls series, is already generating buzz.
Ju Ji Hoon is under consideration for the role of Seok Ji Won, an executive at Seokdong Construction. In the story, Ji Won experiences a dazzling love with his classmate Yoon Ji Won during their teenage years, only to be separated by a tragic misunderstanding. As time passes, he becomes the chairman of Dokmok High School and reunites with Ji Won.
Ju Ji Hoon’s enthusiasm for returning to romance roles is particularly notable. In an interview last year on YTN’s The News, he revealed that he hadn’t taken on a romantic role since his debut in MBC’s Princess Hours back in 2006.
