As SBS’s Friday-Saturday drama My Demon wrapped up on the 20th amidst viewer love and interest, lead actor Song Kang shared his thoughts on the series’ conclusion.

In the drama, Song Kang portrayed Jung Gu Won, a flawless and irresistible charming demon who, for over 200 years, engaged in dangerous yet sweet deals with humans for their souls. His character, initially dismissive of humans, falls in love with Do Do Hee (Kim Yoo Jung), sparking a compelling transformation. Their love story, stretching from their previous lives, deeply engrossed the viewers. Particularly poignant was a scene where his character, holding the deceased Wol Sim (Kim Yoo Jung), breaks down in tears. Gu Won’s heartbreaking romance, where he sacrifices himself to save Do Hee from a fatal situation, further stirred the audience’s emotions.

Through his agency Namoo Actors, Song Kang expressed his final thoughts: “Time has flown by, and ‘My Demon’ has come to an end. As with all my projects, I have fond memories of filming this one. I’m grateful for the love and support from the viewers and fans throughout these seven months. I cherish all the affection, support, and attention sent our way. I hope everyone will remember and love ‘My Demon’ for a long time. Thank you!”

To portray Jung Gu Won, Song Kang devoted himself to meticulous script analysis, practice, and styling, captivating viewers with his deep gaze, striking visuals, and dynamic action. His transformation into “Gu Won himself” has added another illustrious chapter to his “romance maestro” filmography.

The follow-up of My Demon, Flex X Cop, starring Ahn Bo Hyun and Park Ji Hyun, will premiere on the 26th.
