Song Joong Ki is preparing for his return to the small screen with the new drama MY YOUTH (working title), currently in production by his agency, HighZium Studio, according to OSEN.
MY YOUTH, a term that evokes nostalgia for one’s younger days, is being penned by Park Si Hyun, the writer behind the 2021 JTBC hit series Run On. HighZium Studio is taking the helm in production, indicating their active involvement from the planning stages. It’s noted that the title is subject to change as the project develops.
The agency confirmed to Newsen about Song Joong Ki’s involvement in the production, stating, “It is one of the projects he has received an offer for and is currently under consideration.”
This drama marks Song Joong Ki’s first project since becoming a father last year, raising anticipation for what kind of performance he will deliver, especially considering his track record of showcasing diverse roles. Song Joong Ki was last seen in the 2022 JTBC drama Reborn Rich and in the film Hopeless released last year.
Additionally, fans can look forward to his appearance in the Netflix film My Name is Loh Kiwan, set to premiere in the first half of this year.
