Cha Eun Woo went candid about his woof-worthy moments on the set of A Good Day to Be a Dog.
In a recent segment of MBC Radio’s 2 o’clock Date with JaeJae, the stars of MBC’s new Wednesday drama A Good Day to Be a Dog—Cha Eun Woo, Park Kyu Young, and Lee Hyun Woo—joined DJ JaeJae for an intimate chat.
A Good Day to Be a Dog is a fantasy romance about a woman cursed to transform into a dog whenever she kisses and a man who holds the only key to breaking the curse—but is deathly afraid of dogs.
The drama is gaining attention for actually featuring a canine actor, and one viewer was quick to inquire about the stars’ chemistry with the real-life pup. Park Kyu Young, who portrays the shape-shifting woman, passed the baton, saying, “When it comes to chemistry, Eun Woo has a lot to say.”
Cha Eun Woo opened up, “The dog is really adorable. But it won’t focus its gaze in one direction.” He continued with a dash of humor, “During the scenes where I have to kiss the dog, it wouldn’t pucker up for me. So, I eventually applied some cat food inside my mouth to get it to lick me.”
The conversation didn’t stop there. When asked about how it tasted, Cha Eun Woo quipped, “It tasted bad. It gave me a feeling of what it’s like to become a dog.” Park Kyu Young, curious for a more detailed account, received a playful response from him: “Just try it,” adding a dose of laughter to the conversation.
