Bang Si Hyuk Joins Top 5 Highest-Paid Music Industry Executives and Stockholders

Bang Si Hyuk of HYBE has solidified his position as the third wealthiest figure among shareholders in publicly traded global music companies, according to a report by Billboard on September 26th.

Following Spotify’s co-founders Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon, Bang Si Hyuk now ranks third among the elite group of ‘stock-rich’ individuals in the global music industry. The article highlights that Bang Si Hyuk’s holdings in HYBE amount to 31.8 percent of the company’s shares, making his holdings worth approximately $2.54 billion (or around 3.43 trillion KRW).

Billboard notes, “This year, the surge in HYBE’s stock price significantly boosted Bang Si Hyuk’s ranking,” and adds, “Last year, the total value of shares held by Bang Si Hyuk was $1.7 billion (roughly 2.3 trillion Korean won).”

Additionally, Park Jin Young, the founder of JYP Entertainment,  secured the fifth spot in this ranking. The estimated value of Park’s JYP shares amounts to $559 million (about 756.8 billion Korean won).

Yang Hyun Suk, the head producer of YG Entertainment, took the eighth position with his YG Entertainment shares valued at $199 million (approximately 269.3 billion Korean won).
