The upcoming project by the Shin Won Ho crew, featuring Go Youn Jung as the female lead, is slated for a March release next year on tvN.
An insider disclosed to JTBC News on July 13th, “The filming for the new project by the Shin WonHo crew will begin by October at the latest,” hinting at a March premiere on tvN.
The directorial reins of the project have been handed to Lee Min Soo, a former KBS director. Lee Min Soo is currently contributing as a producer to the KBS series Heartbeat. Following this project, Lee will move to Eggiscoming and take the helm of the the new work by the Shin Won Ho crew, famous for Reply and Hospital Playlist series.
Previously, JTBC News had exclusively reported that Alchemy of Souls actress Go Youn Jung was chosen as the female lead for this upcoming highly-anticipated project. Shin Won Ho, while not serving as the director of this project, will contribute as a creator.
Though there have been rumors about the project being a spin-off or a prequel to the drama Hospital Playlist, CJ ENM Studios clarified in June. They explained, “While it’s true that Shin Won Ho is participating as a creator in the new series, it’s still in the early planning stage and is neither a prequel nor a spin-off.”
