Woo Do Hwan has revealed some fun behind-the-scenes stories of his upcoming Netflix series, Bloodhounds.

Following his collaboration with director Kim Joo Hwan in the film The Divine Fury, Woo Do Hwan immediately began filming for Bloodhounds on the day after his military discharge.

Woo Do Hwan mentioned that he agreed to appear without even reading the script due to his close friendship with the director. He stated, “I kept my promise. I was discharged on January 5th and started filming the next day.”

He also added, “The director actually texted me about six months before I finished my military service. He was like, ‘Hey, I sent you something.’ I was curious, wondering what he was talking about. Turns out, he had sent me the script for this drama. Right then and there, I started getting ready for it. It was game on from that moment on.”

On the same day, the director also clarified why he didn’t completely remove Kim Sae Ron from the drama. The celebrity is currently on a break from TV gigs because of a drunk driving issue.

Director Kim expressed, “So many people poured their hearts and souls into this series, investing thousands and tens of thousands of hours. We wanted to protect this project, so we went all out to make it happen without stirring up any more issues.”

Kim Sae Ron had withdrawn from her upcoming project after the drunk driving incident, but the filming for Bloodhounds had already been in progress.

Regarding this matter, Netflix stated in April, “Discussions are underway regarding the editing of the existing footage involving Kim Sae Ron. There won’t be a complete re-edit of the series, and it’s hard to give specific details until the work is actually out.”

Bloodhounds will be available on Netflix on June 9th.
