WINNER’s Mino, currently serving as a social service worker in lieu of mandatory military service, recently turned heads with his long hair at his younger sister’s wedding. It was confirmed that he has yet to enter basic training while fulfilling his military duty.
According to Starnews report, Mino, who received a supplementary military service grade of level 4, has been serving as a social service worker at a welfare center since March. Contrary to what everyone thought, he has yet to attend basic military training. While the exact reasons haven’t been disclosed, actor Lee Min Ho had also started with his substitute military service before entering basic training.
Mino caught the public’s attention when he was spotted on the 28th at his sister’s wedding in San Francisco, USA. He made a stylish appearance, donning a sleek beige suit and surprising everyone with his long hair. This sparked curiosity as Mino was reported to have entered basic training two months ago, yet he had managed to maintain his long hair.
An official from YG Entertainment confirmed to Starnews that “Mino went through the proper procedures to leave the country to attend his sister Song Dana’s wedding.” Particularly poignant was Mino walking his sister down the aisle in place of their father, who passed away in November last year. The sibling duo even performed a cheerful couple’s dance at the wedding reception, delighting the guests.
Mino, following Jinwoo and Seunghoon, is the third member of WINNER to fulfill his military duty. After attending his sister’s wedding, Mino will soon return to Korea to continue his service. The remaining member, Kang Seungyoon, is expected to enlist for active duty on June 20th.
