The highly anticipated Cannes debut of Song Joong Ki and his wife has unfortunately been canceled.
During the official screening of Hopeless on May 24th at 11 AM, Song Joong Ki graced the event with his presence. He warmly interacted with his fans, taking pictures and signing autographs.
However, Katy was not seen at the event, as it was reported that she chose not to attend due to her concerns about being exposed to the film’s violent scenes. This decision was made with consideration for her well-being as an expectant mother.
She was also not seen alongside the actor at the red carpet event held at 9:30 PM on the same day.
Following the Cannes premiere, Song Joong Ki’s film received a lengthy standing ovation from a thousand spectators. The actor expressed his satisfaction and pride in choosing to be part of this movie, stating that the emotions portrayed on screen were even more profound than what was captured in the script.
Hopeless is a captivating noir film that revolves around the challenging life of a young boy named Yeon Gyu, portrayed by Hong Xa Bin. The story follows his perilous journey as he becomes entangled with a crime syndicate boss. Song Joong Ki portrays a mid-level boss in this gripping narrative.
