Park Seo Joon will make his screen comeback in four years with Lee Byung Heon’s new movie Dream.

Based on the true event at the 2010 Homeless World Cup, Dream tells the story of former school player Hong Dae (Park Seo Joon) and passionless TV producer So Min (IU).

Park Seo Joon plays Yoon Hong Dae, who coaches the homeless soccer players after facing the biggest crisis of his career. The actor’s riveting performance will breathe life into Hong Dae, the prickly yet humane, bad-tempered yet tender-hearted man who can’t quit being a coach even after being appalled by the “fantastic” teamwork the homeless players showcase.

In preparation for his role as a professional soccer player, Park Seo Joon went through special training to increase his muscle mass and change his physique. He also presents a unique chemistry with IU’s character, So Min, who produces a documentary about the Homeless Football World Cup.

IU praised her co-star, “I was impressed by his concentration and ability to maintain his tension throughout the filming without fluctuations.” Director Lee Byung Heon also expressed his high expectations for the film and Park Seo Joon’s performance, saying, “The moment I cast Park Seo Joon, I felt that the movie was complete. Working with him, I felt he was an excellent and sensitive actor.”

Meanwhile, Dream is slated for release on April 26th.
