Drama Ranking for 2nd Week of March
Netflix series The Glory Part 2 debuted in first place with explosive responses from viewers. Immediately after the release, Netflix server froze briefly when people flocked over to the site to watch the highly-anticipated series. As Writer Kim Eun Sook said with confidence, the show detailed the perpetrators’ downfall, and the actors’ awe-inspiring performances trended online. However, Cha Joo Young’s nude scene (though she used a body double) received mixed reviews, and Helmer Ahn Gil Ho’s school violence scandal has tainted the glory. SBS’s Taxi Driver 2 rose to second place, with disappointment piling over only airing one episode per week for two weeks. Shin Jae Ha was revealed to be the mysterious figure out to take down the Rainbow Taxi, heightening anticipation for his future role in the plot. Disney Plus series Big Bet Part 2 came in third, and TVING’s Island Part 2 finished its journey in fourth place. tvN’s new drama Pandora: Beneath the Paradise debuted at No. 8. Though it garnered attention as the new project by Writer Kim Soon Ok, many are saying that it failed to live up to the expectations. Despite the series of clichés such as memory loss and infidelity, it’s been pointed out that the story at the beginning is too loose and that some of the actors’ performances are too excessive.
