Lee Chae Min shared his thoughts on the ending of Crash Course In Romance in an interview after the show’s wrap.
He played Lee Seon Jae, the best friend of Nam Hae Yi (played by Roh Yoon Seo) in the drama series. According to reports, he had to audition three times to land the role.
During the interview, the actor mentioned his academic background, saying, “I did well in school and used to ace most of the mock tests for the entrance exam. Even though I had private tutors back then, I think I had a more comfortable life than the characters in the drama. It made me feel sorry for my character.”
Seon Jae has a crush on Hae Yi, so he becomes nervous whenever Seo Geon Hu (played by Lee Min Jae) is around. However, after going through several events, Seon Jae finally confesses his love to her. Eventually, they both find happiness by successfully entering medical school together.
Lee Chae Min expressed his happiness about Seon Jae’s first love coming true and added, “I was happy just like my character when Seon Jae’s first love came true. However, if I were in his place, I would have confessed my feelings for her way earlier. I’m usually upfront and honest about my emotions.”
Speaking about his chemistry with Roh Yoon Seo, he commented, “She and I quickly became close because we’re the same age. We naturally got along with each other, which made it easy for me to feel at ease while acting.”
Lee Chae Min is set to return to the small screen with tvN’s upcoming drama, See You in My 19th Life.
