Lee Jong Suk shared an interesting behind-the-scenes story about his latest project Big Mouth in an interview with Esquire magazine.

The actor said, “I didn’t know who the real Big Mouse was until the very end. I kept in mind that anyone, including myself, could be the culprit. So I had no choice but to purposely portray Chang Ho as an ambiguous figure to make the story flow more smoothly.”
“But I was pretty sure that Chang Ho (played by Lee Jong Suk) had nothing to do with it. I think the missing bit of information in my understanding of the character helped the viewers become more invested in finding the Big Mouse,” he added.

After movie V.I.P., Lee Jong Suk has been playing “strong” characters in various projects, such as Big Mouth, Decibel and The Witch: Part 2. The Other One. He candidly shared why and how he approached those roles. “I didn’t choose to play such characters only. But I did feel the need to play a broad range of roles as I am now in my mid-30s. When choosing the roles, I try not to let my personal preferences color my opinions. Instead, I try to think about what kind of roles would fit me the best and what actions I must take to last long in the industry as a powerful actor,” he revealed.
