While Netflix’s Single’s Inferno 2 recorded 18.34 million viewing hours from January 2nd to January 8th, the show also ranked 9th in the Global Top 10 TV Show (non-English) category and within the Top 10 in 13 countries. The hit dating show had its grand finale, releasing episodes 9 and 10.
Episode 9 showed the date of three couples – Jo Yoong Jae & Choi Seo Eun, Choi Jong Woo & Shin Seul Ki, and Kim Jin Young & Lee Nadine – in Heaven Island (aka Paradise City). Having returned to paradise, Jo Yoong Jae and Choi Seo Eun shared candid talks. In particular, Jo Yoong Jae expressed his feelings for her, “I think I’ve always made the right choice.” Choi Jong Woo’s date with Shin Seul Ki – which he’s wanted throughout the show – put a smile on viewers’ faces. Then there was the unexpected couple, Kim Jin Young and Lee Nadine. While Lee Nadin expressed her heart, saying, “The most memorable moment is right now,” Kim Jin Young showed his confusion, raising curiosity about the final choice they will make.
Meanwhile, having returned to Hell Island, the participants enjoyed their time with the people they liked ahead of the final choice. When everyone gathered together, they revealed their jobs and ages as they opened up to each other. After the last night on Hell Island, the final choices they made were finally revealed.
Three couples were announced – Kim Se Joon & Lee So I, Jo Yoong Jae & Choi Seo Eun, and to everyone’s surprise, Shin Seul Ki chose Choi Jong Woo. Shin Seul Ki said, “He was always so nice to me and expressed his honest feelings. He sees me as who I really am, so I thought it was time for me to approach him.” The moment Choi Jong Woo’s unwavering heart for Shin Seul Ki eventually saw a happy ending, making Lee Da Hee and Kyuhyun tear up.
