Coupang Play dropped new photos of from Bait (literal title).
The new crime thriller series is about revealing the truth behind old unsolved cases through vicious current cases.
Jang Keun Suk, who made his drama comeback after five years of hiatus, will play a detective named Gu Do Han. Although he seems like a worldly snob, he is more passionate and persistent than anybody else when investigating a murder case. While investigating a mysterious murder case, he realizes that it is linked to No Sang Cheon (played by Heo Sung Tae), the notorious fraud criminal who died eight years ago, and begins to shed light on long-buried facts behind his death.
The released photos capture a dramatic change between Goo Do Han’s past and present. He used to be a hotshot lawyer specializing in corporate litigation but became a homicide detective for an unknown reason. The image on the right shows his current appearance with a shaggy beard which contrasts significantly with his past appearance as a lawyer.
Meanwhile, the first teaser trailer for the new series has been garnering huge attention from viewers. After watching the clip, fans rushed to the comments section and wrote, “I’m looking forward to seeing Jang Keun Suk’s acting transformation,” “It’s been a while since I saw the actor on TV. He has a good voice and diction,” and “I think he will surprise us with his brilliant acting, ” raising expectation for his role in the upcoming show.
The series will premiere on January 27th and release two episodes a week. Following the conclusion of its Part 1, which is a six-episode season, its second part will drop in the first half of this year.
