Drama Ranking for 3rd Week of December
JTBC’s Reborn Rich took first place for five weeks in a row. The production team cited the unique relationship between Jin Do Jun (Song Joong Ki) and Jin Yang Chul (Lee Sung Min) as the reason for the show’s popularity. An official shared, “Yoon Hyun Woo (Song Joong Ki) was reborn as the youngest son of the family that killed him, and his relationship with Jin Yang Chul, the grandfather of his new life, went through changes every episode, adjusting the tension of the play. From being strangers to enemies to finally becoming a family, the love-hate narrative of the two increased the immersion and completed the craze-like popularity.” Part 2 of tvN’s Alchemy of Souls kept its place in second place. Favorable responses are pouring out over the convincing story of Jang Uk (Lee Jae Wook) and Jin Bu Yeon (Go Youn Jung). SBS’s Cheer Up, which ended with a happy ending, came in third. MBC’s The Forbidden Marriage maintained its spot in fourth place, while tvN’s Behind Every Star ended in fifth place with an open ending, which led to expectations for season 2.
