Weak Hero Class 1 follows model student Yeon Si Eun (Park Ji Hoon) as he goes up against countless violence alongside the first friends he makes, Ahn Su Ho (Choi Hyun Wook) and Oh Bum Seok (Hong Kyung). The show received global attention even before its release, thanks to its breathtaking trailers.
“Usually, when characters fight – especially in the school dramas – their movements are not premeditated,” Park Ji Hoon introduced his upcoming show. “Most of the time, they just get entangled and don’t even remember how the fight went, but it was so refreshing that Si Eun calculates his fights. And it was even more intriguing that Si Eun had a small body. There was this freshness that came from exploding the prejudice that ‘small, smart kids can’t fight.”
Right after, Choi Hyun Woo talked about Su Ho’s energy and Hong Kyung on what the two friends mean to Bum Seok. Park Ji Hoon chimed in to talk about how he focused on “acting with his eyes.” Also, the actors agreed that the three boys chose to fight not to “win” but because it was their last resort and courage.
Lastly, they added that they wished viewers would enjoy the series like a movie since all eight episodes will be released at once on Wavve.
