Seo Hye Won is expecting her first child, just four months after announcing her marriage to a non-celebrity partner.
Seo Hye Won shared the happy news on social media on August 10th with baby and heart emojis. The photos featured baby items and a congratulatory message that read, “Celebrating and looking forward to the birth of Hye Won’s baby. Be a happy mother.”

Fans and fellow actors quickly flooded her with congratulations, including Park Ji Hu, who left a heart emoji in the comments.
Seo Hye Won announced her marriage in April through a handwritten letter. She revealed that she had found “a precious companion” with whom she wanted to spend the rest of her life. The couple chose to marry privately rather than hold a traditional wedding ceremony, and she asked fans for their understanding.
She also promised to continue pursuing her acting career, thanking fans for their support and saying she would work hard to show her growth as an actress. Her Lovely Runner co-star Byeon Woo Seok congratulated her with a simple, “Wow, congratulations!” Other actors, including Song Ji Ho, Oh Se Young, Kim Woo Seok, Yoon Seo Ah and Ji Ye Eun, also sent their well wishes.
Born in 1993, Seo Hye Won began her acting career with the 2016 play Rude Romance (literal translation) and later appeared in the 2018 web drama Just One Bite Season 1. She has since built a diverse résumé with roles in True Beauty, Nevertheless, A Business Proposal, Alchemy of Souls and Extraordinary Attorney Woo.
In 2024, she gained wider recognition as Lee Hyun Joo, the best friend of Kim Hye Yoon’s character Im Sol, in tvN’s Lovely Runner. She recently expanded her career overseas with a role in the Japanese drama Gimbap and Onigiri.
As Seo Hye Won prepares to embrace motherhood, fans are sending their warmest wishes as she begins this new chapter in both her personal life and acting career.
