The late actor Lee Ji Han‘s mother visited the lost and found center located in Itaewon and wept while holding her deceased son’s shoes in her arms.
On the 2nd, MBC’s News Desk covered the lost and found center for the Itaewon crush victims located in Wonhyo-ro, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. According to reports, the mother of actor Lee Ji Han, who died on the night of Halloween crowd crush, visited the site.
In front of the reporters, Lee’s mother howled, “If the prime minister’s son had called 112 (number for police in Korea), hundreds of police would have been dispatched to the scene.” Lee Ji Han made a name for himself when he appeared in Produce 101 Season 2 as a contestant. He was filming MBC’s upcoming drama The Season of Kkokdu when he died in the Itaewon tragedy on October 29th.
Lee’s mother cried, holding dearly onto her son’s shoes. “I looked everywhere in the hospital, but (my son) was dead. I gave him mouth-to-mouth, but he didn’t wake up. He was such a pretty boy; he was my treasure.”
