In the upcoming KBS series Bad Prosecutor, the actor will transform into a rogue prosecutor who faces off against corrupted authorities. Young Lady and Gentleman actress Lee Se Hee will play the cold senior prosecutor who squabbles over matters with Do Kyung Soo. Viewers are left wondering how Do Kyung Soo will portray his new character in the series, which features a much bolder role than what he played in his previous projects.

Jeon Yeo Bin will lead a whimsical and fun adventure in an upcoming streaming series. Netflix’s Glitch follows a young woman named Ji Hyo who joins forces with her middle school friend Bora to investigate her boyfriend’s sudden disappearance. The key takeaway from the series will be the “womance” between the two female friends, Jeon Yeo Bin and Nana, which the two will show as they go through a series of bizarre events. The drama will premiere at the 27th Busan International Film Festival.
Yonder (10/14)
Yonder, the first joint production by TVING and Paramount+, is a melodrama with a sci-fi subtext. The drama follows a man who receives an email from his dead wife, inviting him to a mysterious place called “Yonder.” The drama will depict a world where one can live forever without death, making viewers wonder about the meaning of eternal life, death, memory versus oblivion, and happiness versus unhappiness. Shin Ha Kyun and Han Jin Min will appear in the series as a married couple with an emotional story behind them.
The Queen’s Umbrella (10/15)
Kim Hye Soo is planning her epic return to period drama, joining the cast of The Queen’s Umbrella as a spirited queen trying to rein in her rowdy sons. Unlike other historical Korean dramas that focus on romantic lives and power struggles in the palace, the new tvN weekend drama focuses on a rather surprising topic of ‘education.’ Professing to be the Joseon Dynasty version of Sky Castle, attention is focused on whether she would be able to make her grand return to the period drama scene.
May I Help You (10/19)
MBC’s Wednesday-Thursday drama will return after a year-long hiatus. Starring Hyeri and Lee Jun Young, May I Help You will bring us laughter and tears with various fun and heart-warming stories. The drama depicts the teamwork between Baek Dong Ju, the funeral director who grants the wishes of the dead, and Butler Kim, who runs errands for people around the town. Hyeri will play Baek Dong Ju, who can talk to the dead, and Lee Jun Young will star as Butler Kim, who gives a hand to those who need it. Will she be able to bring MBC’s Wednesday-Thursday drama back on track with her friendly, slice-of-life character?

Based on the short film of the same name, Bargain is a thriller series that unfolds after a major earthquake hits a building where organ trafficking takes place. It depicts the struggle of people trying to survive the chaos disconnected from the outside world. Jin Seon Kyu, Jun Jong Seo, and Chang Ryul star in the show as those who make dangerous deals to stay alive. Along with TVING’s Yonder, the drama will be screened at the 27th Busan International Film Festival.
Shadow Detective (TBA)
Disney Plus will present several new crime-thriller series this year. It will kickstart with Shadow Detective, which tells the story of a detective who becomes suspected of killing his fellow detective after getting a mysterious phone call. The story unfolds as the detective looks back to his past to catch an unidentified blackmailer. Lee Sung Min will play the falsely accused detective. Joining him will be Jin Goo, Kyung Soo Jin, and Lee Hak Joo as his fellow cops working in the same department. Following the drama’s conclusion, Third Person Revenge and Casino will premiere in November, and Connect will air in December.
Curtain Call (TBA)
Ha Ji Won will make her much-awaited drama comeback with Kang Ha Neul through a new KBS Monday-Tuesday drama, Curtain Call. The drama follows a man on a shocking mission to grant wishes for a terminally ill lady and those who get involved in his crazy mission. Ha Ji Won will play a hotel manager who faces a crisis after getting to know a man by chance, and Kang Ha Neul will take on the role of a nameless stage actor who has to give his performance of his lifetime for the terminally ill lady. Kwon Sang Woo, Sung Dong Il, Go Du Shim, and Noh Sang Hyun will also join the show’s cast.
