Is Kim Yoo Jung joining the new Netflix original series helmed by Lee Byung Heon?
On Monday, Hankyung reported that Kim Yoo Jung was cast in the new Netflix original series Sweet and Sour Chicken (literal title). She’ll step into the role of Min Ah, the daughter of Choi Sun Man, the president of the company named All Machines, and work with Ryu Seung Ryong and Ahn Jae Hong.
Based on the webtoon of the same name, Sweet and Sour Chicken is a 12-part series written and helmed by Lee Byung Heon, whose credits include movies Twenty and Extreme Job and the drama Be Melodramatic. It’s expected to be the second part of Lee’s chicken series, following the movie Extreme Job.
Sweet and Sour Chicken is about people turning into sweet and sour chicken due to a mysterious machine. It’s a comic thriller that gets to the bottom of a great secret after those involved die or go missing.
Meanwhile, the series will start filming in November.
