‘The Outlaws’ has begun the production of its third installment.
The Roundup : No Way Out 3 started filming on the 20th. This is the third installment of the hit franchise The Outlaws, the 3rd highest-grossing R-rated film in South Korea, and earlier this year, the sequel The Roundup became the first film in South Korea to register 10 million admissions in 2022.
Ma Dong Seok, aka Don Lee, and director Lee Sang Yong, who led the box office success of The Roundup, reteamed for the third film. Joining Don Lee in the cast are Lee Joon Hyuk as the villain, Munetaka Aoki, Lee Beom Soo, Kim Min Jae, Jeon Seok Ho, Ko Kyu Pil, and more. The Outlaws 3 is a crime action movie that follows Ma Seok Do (Don Lee) and his new major crime investigation team fighting against the villain.
While Don Lee returns as the “monster detective” Ma Seok Do, Lee Joon Hyuk steps into the role of Joo Sung Cheol, the third villain of The Outlaws series, following Yoon Kye Sang and Son Suk Ku. Munetaka Aoki will play yakuza Riki. Additionally, Lee Beom Soo and Kim Min Jae will become Ma Seok Do’s new teammates, Jang Tae Soo, the team leader, and Kim Man Jae, Ma Seok Do’s right arm.
Director Lee Sang Yong shared, “I’m glad and honored to greet you once again with The Outlaws 3. I look forward to working with Ma Dong Seok, Lee Joon Hyuk, Munetaka Aoki, and more. All the actors and staff will do their best to create a fun movie.”
Don Lee said, “The Outlaws 3 has begun filming. I’ll repay all the love you gave us with a fun movie.” Lee Joon Hyuk shared, “I’m a thriller to be a part of The Outlaws with good actors, the director, and staff. We’re just beginning, and I hope that we can finish safely without anyone getting hurt.”
