On July 19th, the first Blue Dragon Series Awards was held in Incheon, hosted by Girls’ Generation’s YoonA and Jun Hyun Moo.
D.P. received the first annual award for Best Drama, while Transit Love received the award of Best Variety Program. Byun Seung Min, Climax Studio CEO of D.P fame, remarked: �“I express my sincere gratitude to those who have contributed to making the series. The sequel is in the works right now, and we will do our best to complete the project successfully.”
Transit Love’s producer Lee Jin Joo shared, “Many put their heart and soul into this project, staying up all night filming and editing the show. Therefore, I would like to share my joy with our team.”
Lee Jung Jae and Kim Go Eun bagged the Best Actor and Actress trophies for their roles in Squid Game and Yumi’s Cell, respectively. Lee Jung Jae �commented, “It is not a stretch to say that I am living a completely new life after Squid Game. Thank you for all your love and support.” He then left a witty remark, saying, “Check this out! I won the award, Mr. Jung!,” referring to his agency’s co-founder actor Jung Woo Sung. Kim Go Eun �stated, “I will continue to do my best to stay humble and sincere as an actress.”
Koo Kyo Hwan and Jung Ho Yeon snagged the trophies for the Best New Actor and Best New Actress awards. The D.P. actor said, “I won’t forget the mindset I started with and continue to be an actor who presents the best self to the audience.” Jung Ho Yeon �expressed. “I think I still have a long way to go. I will take one step at a time. I appreciate all your support.”
Semantic Error‘s Park Seo Ham and Jaechan received the TIRTIR Popularity Awards.
