BTS’ Jungkook took first place in Billboard’s poll with his collaboration song with Charlie Puth.
Billboard held a poll for “Which New Music Release Is Your Favorite?” on the 24th (local time). Two days later, Billboard announced Charlie Puth and Jungkook’s “Left and Right” as the winner.
The article focused on the impressive record, reporting, “‘Left and Right’ brought in more than 81% of the vote in this week’s new music poll.” Billboard introduced the track with the lyrics that go, “Memories follow me left and right/ I can feel you over here/ I can feel you over here/ You take up every corner of my mind.”
Trailing behind on the poll was Taylor Swift’s Where the Crawdads Sing tune “Carolina,” with 15% of the vote.
“Left and Right” is a funky pop song produced by Puth. The tune swept the global music charts upon its release on the 24th, ranking first on global top songs on Spotify. Moreover, the song ranks first on iTunes’ Top Song Chart in 102 regions on the 29th. The music video is also a big hit. It has surpassed 10 million views within 12 hours of its release. As of the 30th, the views have increased to 48.11 million.
