Girls’ Generation is coming back as a whole in their new variety show Soshi Tamtam (literal title).
On the 23rd, JTBC dropped a teaser for Soshi Tamtam which showed the seven girls all together. Sitting in the conference room, the girls start a discussion over what games they should play for their new show.
While a team sport, a talk show, and a pajama party were mentioned, Sooyoung brings up the idea of going to see someone from their memory. However, Hyoyeon dismisses the idea quickly, saying, “That’s no fun.” When Sooyoung names Kang Ho Dong as the person they’ll meet, Hyoyeon refutes, “What are you gonna say to him?”
Soon, Sooyoung and Tiffany take a walk down the memory train and name old variety shows like Star Golden Bell and Strong Heart. But Hyoyeon once again refuses the idea, “That’s fun for us but not for the people watching the show,” giving a big laugh.
When Yuri pitches the idea of excluding the things they dislike, YoonA replies, “I don’t like it when I’m asked to show my talent and act cute. And I also don’t like bringing up old memories. We’ve changed.” Sunny simply summed up everything and said, “If there is anything you want us to do, just tell us.”
Meanwhile, Soshi Tamtam is a show for Girls’ Generation, by Girls’ Generation, and of Girls’ Generation. Celebrating their 15th debut anniversary, the girls will show how they’ve matured over the years. The show will premiere on July 5th.
