Seo In Guk and Oh Yeon Seo will blow away the heat with their thrilling new drama Café Minamdang.
KBS’s new Monday-Tuesday series Café Minamdang follows a mystery play unfolded by criminal profiler-turned-shaman Han Jun and his colleagues. “When I first read the scripts, I thought it was fascinating,” shared Seo In Guk. “How a criminal profiler-turned-shaman solves the cases was ingenious and fun.”
“Nam Han Jun isn’t a real shaman, so he’s clumsy and non-shaman-like,” the actor added. “I did a lot of research to complete the tone that attracts people, all the while trying to showcase a friendly side of the character.” The one word Seo In Guk to describe Café Minamdang was a fan. “Like how you need a fan when the weather gets too hot, our drama will be greeting you with a refreshing story in the hot summer.”
Oh Yeon Seo introduced her role, detective Han Jae Hee, as someone “who might look mysterious at first but is actually very honest and confident.” Stressing that she had fun filming the action scenes, she added, “I tried my best to make sure that her chicness and awesomeness were clearly shown.”
Oh Yeon Seo described Café Minamdang as a surprise box. “Like a surprise box that you don’t know what’s inside until you open it, when you open Café Minamdang, you’ll see that it’s filled with stories about people’s lives, comedies, etc.”
Meanwhile, Café Minamdang will premiere on the 27th at 9:50 PM KST.
