On Thursday, Sports Chosun reported that Jinyoung and Roh Jeong Eui were cast to take the lead in Witch. Based on the webtoon of the same name by Kang Full, Witch tells the story of a man who falls in love with a woman called a “witch.” Both actors’ agencies responded that they’re positively reviewing the offers they received. If they join the show, they’ll each play Lee Dong Jin and Park Mi Jung.

Lee Dong Jin, who majored in statistics, was headhunted by Shine Solution as a data miner. When he was in high school, he met a girl named Mi Jung, who was always alone. All he could do for the girl, who was always swept up in all kinds of rumors, was just be there for her and say that he believed in her. But after she leaves the school, he only studies statistics to tell her that she’s not a witch if he sees her again. One day, he meets her again on a subway, and this time, he’s ready to give all his life to her.

Park Mi Jung is a translator who leaves her room on the rooftop at three in the morning every day after putting on pretty clothes. Ever since she was a young girl, she caught people’s attention with her mysterious aura. From some point on, boys started to fancy her, which led to all kinds of rumors. In the end, people started calling her a witch. Now, she’s used to the loneliness she feels in her small room, but from time to time, she thinks of this boy that used to have a smile on.

Meanwhile, Dark Figure of Crime director Kim Tae Kyun will helm the production of Witch. The filming will begin soon, and the show will most likely be released on an OTT platform.
