Seoul Ghost Story (literal title), which will open a new horizon in the K-Horror genre, has confirmed its April release.

Seoul Ghost Story is a modern reinterpretation of the ghost stories that the MZ generation is passionate about. It will unravel new and colorful stories that swarm the city. It incorporates the materials that we encounter in everyday life into an omnibus format, providing a sense of horror that continues even after the movie ends.

What attracts the most about the movie is its unique cast lineup – Peninsula actor Kim Do Yoon; Memento Mori actress Lee Young Jin; Something in the Rain actor Oh Ryoong; The Dude in Me actress Lee Soo Min; Nevertheless actress Lee Yul Eum; and The Uncanny Counter actor Jung Won Chang.

Joining them are the slew of K-pop artists that will make their acting debut – Golden Child’s Bong Jae Hyun; WJSN’s Seola and Exy; MONSTA X’s Shownu; Oh My Girl’s Arin; AleXa; and The Boyz’s Ju Haknyeon. Moreover, former Infinite member Lee Howon; Lovelyz’ Seo Jisoo; and BTOB’s Lee Minhyuk have also taken part in the production.

One of the episodes, “Chichung,” starring Lee Howon, was invited to the 25th Fantasia International Film Festival in 2021, receiving favorable reviews.

Meanwhile, director Hong Won Ki, who directed more than 1500 commercials and MVs including BTS and Refund Sisters, has successfully completed the new paradigm K-Horror with the movie.
