Youn Yuh Jung and Lee Min Ho‘s upcoming Apple TV+ drama Pachinko is slated to premiere on March 25th with growing anticipation.
Based on the best-selling novel of the same name, Pachinko chronicles the hopes and dreams of a Korean immigrant family across four generations as they leave their homeland in an indomitable quest to survive and thrive.
In the upcoming series, Youn Yuh Jung will play a Korean woman named Sunja who survived unimaginable adversity and struggle. The story sets in South Korea in the 1900s and follows the perspective of Sunja who has aged into an old lady.
Pachinko‘s director Kogonada said, “It was such a special experience to be able to work with Youn Yuh Jung. I was blown away every time I saw her acting. It was amazing to see her breathing life into her character with such deep interpretation and creativity.”
Lee Min Ho plays Koh Han Su, a charming young man who steals the heart of �young Sunja. Lee Min Ho will be showing a new side of himself through the character who struggles between ambition and love.
The TV adaption of Pachinko was created, written, and produced by Soo Hugh. “Lee Min Ho put much spirit into this upcoming series. Throughout the whole show, he pulled off a character with great detail. He did not hesitate to take on new challenges and put his heart and soul into this work”, Soo Hugh said, singing his praises on the actor.

Pachinko is set to premiere on Apple TV+. It will drop its first three episodes on March 25th and release a new episode every Friday from April 29th.
