TVING’s Work Later, Drink Now and Monstrous �are selected for screening at Cannes International Series Festival, a.k.a CANNESERIES under the Korea Focus section.
This year, the Cannes International Series Festival celebrates its fifth anniversary and the event is scheduled to take place from April 1st to April 6th in France. Monstrous will have its official screening on April 6th at 9 AM (local time), and Work Later, Drink Now is scheduled to be put out �on the same day at 11 AM (local time).
TVING original series Work Later, Drink Now first aired in October 2021. The series garnered huge attention with its story exploring the friendship and everyday lives of three single women. It soon became the content that has drawn the most paid subscribers to the platform due to its immense popularity.
Meanwhile, TVING’s Monstrous, starring Shin Hyun Been and Koo Kyo Hwan, is slated to premiere this coming April. The series takes place in a small village that gets swept up in disaster with the discovery of a mysterious possessed statue of the Buddha. The series is written by Yeon Sang Ho, who is widely known for Train to Busan and Hellbound.
An official from the service shared, “We are more than thrilled to be able to present our two original series at the Cannes International Series Festival. We will do our best to bring up the international standing of South Korean content in the market and focus on creating the most appealing and original content.”
