In the last episode of KBS’ Moonshine, Nam Young (Yoo Seung Ho) and Kang Ro Seo (Hyeri) expose the evil scheme of Lee Si Heum (Choi Won Young) and abolish the prohibition on alcohol.
Kang Ro Seo heads to Mangwolsa with Nam Young and finds the missing piece of the logbook left by Kang Ho Hyun (Park Eun Seok). In the meantime, Lee Si Heum declares an even stronger prohibition law. Nam Young and Kang Ro Seo give out drinks to people in the palace so that more people can have the freedom to drink.
Upon his return to the palace, Nam Young reveals that Lee Si Heum was trying to poison the king (Jung Sung Il), and the king orders to execute Lee Si Heum and annihilate the prohibition law.
Everything goes back to normal after the prohibition gets lifted. Lee Pyo (Byun Woo Seok) steps down as the crowned prince of Joseon and finally has his freedom to leave for Mount Geumgang with Ae Jin (Kang Min Na).
Meanwhile, Nam Young asks Ro Seo to marry him and says, “Will you be my other half for the rest of my life? I am madly in love with you.” Ro Seo teases him at first, acting as if she would not accept his proposal. Then, she pushes him against the wall as she did when she first met him and gives him a kiss. The show ends with the two sharing a sweet kiss under the moonlight.
