Moonshine achieved a new record in viewership ratings.
According to Nielsen Korea, the 4th episode of KBS2’s Moonshine scored an average nationwide viewership rating of 7.6 percent.
Last night’s episode shared a look at the blooming romance between Nam Young, an inspector who is notorious for his rigid personality, and Ro Seo, a struggling aristocrat who starts illegally making alcohol to support her family. Although they both try to hide their growing feelings, they end up warming up to each other.
Nam Young (Yoo Seung Ho) faces a dilemma when he discovers that Ro Seo (Hyeri) makes alcohol against the law. This is because he knows what would happen to her if she got caught for selling alcohol to the crown prince. Meanwhile, when the prince came over to see him, Nam Young felt a strange feeling of jealousy running through him as he saw Ro Seo and the prince, Lee Pyo (Byeon Woo Seok), talking intimately together.
After much consideration, Nam Young writes a letter to his higher-ups to disclose what the crown prince and the corrupted Saheonbu inspectors did thus far. In response, King Lee Kang (Jung Sung Il) grants Nam Young a position as the royal mentor of the crown prince. Later on, he finds out that Ro Seo has left her house in the middle of the night and follows her into a forest. When she was just about to fall down the cliff, he grabbed the viewers’ attention by coming to her rescue like a hero.
