Niel and Changjo’s Contract with TOP Media Came to an End But Will Continue Promoting as Teen Top

Niel and Changjo decided not to renew their contract with TOP Media. However, the artists will continue on as members of Teen Top.

On the 28th, TOP Media announced that they had decided to amicably part ways with Niel and Changjo. “After sharing sincere conversations with Niel and Changjo for a long time, we have decided to not proceed with a renewal of contracts,” the wrote,

Then the label stressed, “However, even after the contract expires, Niel and Changjo will continue with Teen Top’s activities due to the deep affection and trust that the members have with each other.” Lastly, TOP Media blessed the two’s new chapter in life, writing, “We would like to relay our sincere gratitude toward artists Niel and Changjo, who have worked with us for a long time. We support Niel and Changjo’s new beginning as good artists.”

Additionally, Niel will drop a solo soundtrack with TOP Media in mid-January 2022 as his last project with the label.

Meanwhile, Niel and Changjo personally delivered the news. Neil wrote, “Above all, I was very happy with my time as Teen Top’s Niel thanks to my beloved Angels and members who always supported me.” He added, “And I think there are people who think that Teen Top is disbanding. But we, Teen Top, will never disband. So don’t worry too much.”

Changjo also stressed, “You’ll be able to see Teen Top as a whole group when members’ military duties are over. I want to get together with the members as soon as possible and promote songs. Thank you.”
